We Take Your Historian Into the Future
We use the process data you already have to deliver tomorrow’s results.
Your historian has recorded years of process history. IntelliDynamics puts that history to work.
Using Intellect, we combine operating, laboratory, product, test, and engineering data to estimate what cannot be measured continuously, predict important results earlier, and calculate better operating targets.
Your process history contains more than trends
A historian provides a trusted record of what happened. The relationships inside that history can also help answer operating questions that matter now.
IntelliDynamics builds and deploys the models that answer those questions. The historian remains the operating record. Intellect adds prediction, virtual measurement, and optimization.
Start with the systems you already use
What Intellect delivers
Current estimates
Estimate rates, properties, compositions, emissions, quality measures, and other values that cannot be measured continuously or economically everywhere.Earlier predictions
Predict product and process outcomes before the final test, inspection, or production result arrives.Better operating targets
Calculate operating targets that reflect current conditions, equipment limits, product requirements, and economic objectives.
Results in existing workflows
Return estimates, predictions, recommendations, alarms, or setpoints through the DCS, SCADA, historian, database, and engineering tools people already use.
Proven industrial work
Products built correctly the first time
At IntelliDynamics, we used Intellect to help a manufacturer determine the right alternative assembly before production. We built roughly 25 neural networks to estimate each alternative assembly’s 25 performance requirements. A hybrid genetic algorithm then searched vast permutations of possible assemblies. Yield moved from approximately 40% to 100%. Rework moved from 60% to zero. The work earned industry awards. Results will vary by application, data, process, and implementation.
Product quality predicted from process history
For a condensate-stabilization application, IntelliDynamics used existing process history from an OSIsoft PI historian and live operating data from a Yokogawa DCS through OPC. Predictive models estimated Reid vapor pressure, and the optimization calculated operating setpoints. The plant’s existing data and control infrastructure remained part of the solution.Measurement between physical tests
IntelliDynamics virtual flow meters use existing pressures, temperatures, choke positions, lift or injection conditions, and reference well tests to calculate current well-rate estimates between physical measurements. The models automatically recalibrate as new reference data becomes available. Accuracy depends on the application, available inputs, test quality, and operating coverage. The next result
The useful starting point is a result the operation needs earlier, more often, or more accurately.
- A product property that arrives after the batch is complete
- A well rate available only when the well is on test
- A quality result known only after final inspection
- An emissions or composition value measured intermittently
- A setpoint that engineers currently calculate manually
- A process outcome operators can see only after conditions have already changed
IntelliDynamics starts with that result, the data already available, and the operating decisions it must support.
